Chris Seeger is a former postdoctoral researcher, and current research affiliate with Teachers in the Movement. He is also an adjunct instructor at American University in Washington, DC, teaching classes about social studies methods and social justice in urban education. Seeger has contributed to the curriculum and professional development projects of Teachers in the Movement, and he enjoys designing resources that are focused on diverse historical perspectives and critical thinking. Additionally, Seeger is the creator of www.historydilemmas.com, a collection of engaging historical narratives that ask students to make tough decisions. Seeger’s research is focused on critically examining the social studies curriculum, especially themes of race, gender, and class. He also studies the instructional adaptations of teachers who identify as social justice educators.
