In this interview, Gwendolyn Elmore discusses growing up in Atlanta, Georgia and her 40-year teaching career in Atlanta Public Schools. Reflecting on her experiences, Ms. Elmore shares:
"The opportunity I had to influence, interact with, and open the doors of learning and exploring knowledge for students I was privileged to teach was a great joy, which enabled me to use my God-given talents. I am truly grateful to the students, their parents, and God to have been blessed to do this for 40 years! I remember a quote that I read early in my teaching career, and I believe it's very true: 'A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.' This quotation is from Henry Adams, a 19th-century American historian, journalist, an academic, and a descendant from two presidents."
